Ely Lodge Forest
Ely Lodge Forest is part of the Marble Arch Caves Global Geopark and features Carrickreagh Viewpoint Walk. Walks can be accessed by both land and water as the forest is located on the southern fringes of Lower Lough Erne.
Monea Castle was built for Malcolm Hamilton and completed in 1618, with a strong Scottish influence it has two imposing full-height round towers.
Featured in the Game of Thrones the Pollnagollum/ Coolarkan Cave Walk can be accessed through wonderful Belmore Forest and is part of Fermanagh’s Boho cave country.
Portora Castle is adjacent to the school that educated Oscar Wilde and Samuel Beckett. It is strategically positioned by the narrow exit of the River Erne into the Lower Lough Erne.
Enniskillen for Eating Out
Shamrock Cottage is cleaned and sanitised between guests. I want to ensure that you feel safe walking in to stay at our cottage.
We have a flexible cancellation policy in response to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, to ensure you feel comfortable to book your stay and reassured should you need to cancel.
Shamrock Cottage overlooks Lower Lough Erne and the cliffs of Magho in Co. Fermanagh situated midway between Belleek and Kesh. Experience solitude and tranquility sitting by the jetty and listening to the water lapping at your feet; you can soak in the atmosphere, fish or launch your canoe and explore the calming waters. You can walk around the gated 7 acres of young woodland and see the hares bounding across the grass, hear the buzzards calling and the swans taking flight across the lake.
Shamrock Cottage has NITB 5 star grading offering you the highest standard in self catering accommodation. You can have up to 6 guests staying, but unfortunately we cannot accept pets as we are beside farmland with sheep and cattle. Our minimum 2 night stay from September to June and minimum 4 night stay in July and August, includes a welcome pack plus firewood for the lounge fire or fire pit outside, and gives you time to relax as well as explore our area. Relax at Shamrock Cottage from £199 per night subject to availability.
